Find Our El Paso Criminal Law Office

Valenzuela Law Firm is in El Paso’s Magoffin neighborhood near the border of Downtown El Paso. Our address is:

701 Magoffin Avenue
El Paso, TX 79901

Our building is on the corner of Magoffin Avenue and North Ochoa Street. It is the Enrique Moreno Building. Built in 1897, the building has a long history in El Paso’s legal community. Many lawyers have practiced within these walls, including the building’s namesake, a noted lawyer and civil rights leader who kept his office here for many decades. The El Paso County courthouse is also named after him. We are proud to practice in a building with such a rich legal history.

We are conveniently located across the street from the US District Court where we handle federal criminal cases and one block from the Enrique Moreno County Courthouse where we handle state criminal cases. We are also a block away from the Downtown Detention Facility.

Our attorneys serve clients in El Paso and throughout Texas, as well as clients and counsel from out-of-state who need local representation.

Please call before visiting our law office: 915-292-3173. Our staff will be happy to schedule an in-person meeting with you. Phone or video meetings are also available, and we can meet with clients and perspective clients in jail as well.

When visiting our law office, please use metered, on-street parking near the building. The parking lot to the east of the building is private and does not belong to us. Cars parking there without permission may be towed.

When Meeting With A Criminal Law Attorney For The First Time

Remember that you have the right to remain silent. Do not speak to police officers. Do not speak to FBI, CIA or any other federal agents. Do not speak to the prosecutor. Do not speak about your charges with jail staff. We even recommend that you avoid discussing the matter with friends and family. Definitely do not post about it on social media. Only speak to your criminal law attorney.

If you are not the person charged with the crime and are a friend or family member looking for an attorney on their behalf, keep in mind that all of the above applies to you as well.

When speaking with your attorney, let your attorney lead the conversation, especially if it is being conducted over the phone at jail. Calls to or from jail may be recorded or listened to. Letting your attorney lead will not only save you time by keeping the conversation targeted appropriately, but will protect you from saying anything that could be overheard and used against you.
